Shopify Order Fulfillment Template

Updated July 26, 2026

Shopify Order Fulfillment Template

The Order Fulfillment template creates a monthly Time Series worksheet that counts Shopify orders with the fulfilled order status. It provides a simple view of fulfilled-order volume across the latest 12 months.

Why track fulfilled orders by month

Fulfillment volume is the workload side of your sales figures. Revenue tells you how the business did; fulfilled orders tell you how much physical work your team got through to produce it.

Seeing that by month lets you:

  • Plan staffing and packing capacity ahead of your busy periods instead of during them
  • Spot months where fulfilled orders lagged behind orders received
  • Confirm whether a quiet month was weak demand or a fulfillment backlog
  • Set expectations with a 3PL or warehouse using your actual seasonal pattern

What the template creates

The worksheet contains:

  • One row labeled Count of fulfilled orders
  • One column for each of the latest 12 calendar months

The row uses Orders Count with the Shopify order fulfillment status filtered to fulfilled.

Create the Order Fulfillment spreadsheet

  1. Install Mixtable Analytics Spreadsheet
  2. Click Create Spreadsheet
  3. Search for or select Order Fulfillment
  4. Create the spreadsheet

What the template tells you

Use it to see:

  • Monthly fulfilled-order volume
  • Seasonal fulfillment workload
  • Whether fulfilled orders are increasing or declining
  • Months that deserve a closer operational review

The template measures completed fulfillment status at the order level. It does not show pending orders, partial shipments, carriers, tracking details, delivery time, or warehouse speed.

Add useful context

Add Time Series rows for:

  • Total Orders Count
  • Net Sales
  • Fulfillment Count
  • Fulfilled Quantity
  • Average Hours To First Fulfillment
  • Average Hours To Delivery

Metric availability depends on the reporting target and row setup.

Comparing fulfilled orders with total orders helps show whether a volume change comes from demand or from operational completion.

Use the newer fulfillment report for order-level work

The ready-made Order fulfillment & delivery speed report creates a recent Orders worksheet with fulfillment counts, timing, returns, financial status, order value, and shipping country.

Use that report when you need to find individual delayed orders or compare delivery speed. Use this template when you want one simple monthly fulfilled-order trend.

See Shopify Fulfillment and Delivery Analytics.

Add a different fulfillment filter

For a custom Time Series row:

  1. Click the lightning bolt button in an empty row header
  2. Choose the object group and metric
  3. Under Refine which orders count, add the fulfillment filter
  4. Enter a clear label
  5. Click Save Row

You can create separate rows for operational slices where supported, but keep the dates and metric consistent when comparing them.
