Bulk update SEO titles and SEO descriptions for Shopify pages

SEO titles and SEO descriptions (meta descriptions) affect how your Shopify pages appear in search results. They help search engines understand page relevance and help customers decide which result to click.

With the Mixtable spreadsheet editor, you can create and manage page SEO titles and SEO descriptions in bulk. Instead of opening each page in Shopify, you can edit all page SEO fields in a spreadsheet and sync changes back to Shopify.

Load page SEO fields into your Mixtable spreadsheet

Before you can edit SEO titles and descriptions, you need to load those fields into a page-synced worksheet.

Create a pages worksheet

Start by setting up a workbook in Mixtable and creating a worksheet that syncs with your Page data from Shopify. Once the worksheet loads, your existing pages will appear in rows, with one row per page.

Add SEO title and SEO description columns

To add the SEO fields:

1. Open your Pages worksheet
2. To load new Shopify data, start by selecting an empty column — any column with a non-green header (green headers mean the column is already linked to Shopify data). Then, click the ⚡️ button in the column header to open the selection window to choose the data you want to pull in.
3. Choose one of the following fields:

• SEO Title
• SEO Description

As soon as you add a field, Mixtable populates the column with your existing SEO data from Shopify. These cells are now fully editable.

Once the SEO fields are visible, you can edit them just like any other spreadsheet data:

How Find and Replace works

Open Find and Replace from the toolbar. In the dialog, you can control exactly how the update is applied:

• Column Selector
  Choose the column to apply the change to, such as Page SEO Title or Page SEO Description.
• Find this
  The word or phrase you want to replace.
• Replace with this
  The new word or phrase to insert.
• Case-sensitive match
  Decide whether capitalization must match exactly.
• Match whole words only
  Limit replacements to exact word matches instead of partial matches.
• Preview first 10 rows
  Preview how the change will look before applying it to all pages.

After confirming, Mixtable applies the update across the selected pages and syncs the results back to Shopify.
