Sales by Customer Segments Template

If you use customer segments in Shopify, this template gives you an easy way to compare how each segment performs in one live spreadsheet.

Instead of checking segment results one by one in Shopify, you get a side-by-side view in Mixtable where you can see which segments drive the most revenue, where discounts are highest, and which have the strongest average order value.

Load the Sales by Customer Segments template

  1. Install the Mixtable Analytics app
  2. In Mixtable, click Create Spreadsheet
  3. Select Sales by Customer Segments from the Analytics templates list

What’s included in the template

The template creates one worksheet with these columns:

  • Segment
  • Total Order Count
  • Total Gross Sales
  • Total Discounts
  • Total Refund Amount
  • Total Net Sales
  • Average Order Value

Where the segment data comes from

The segment rows come directly from your Shopify customer segments. When you add or update segments in Shopify, just refresh your workbook in Mixtable to pull in those changes.

How to use this template

  • Compare revenue and order volume across segments
  • Identify segments with high discount usage or refund rates
  • Find high-value segments (strong AOV) for targeted campaigns
  • Prioritize retention efforts based on net sales contribution

Add more metrics (optional)

You can add extra analytics columns to get more insights alongside the default metrics.

  1. Click on an empty column (or insert a new one)
  2. To load new Shopify data, start by selecting an empty column — any column with a non-green header (green headers mean the column is already linked to Shopify data). Then, click the ⚡️ button in the column header to open the selection window to choose the data you want to pull in. Add Shopify data to a spreadsheet
  3. Under Shopify Sync Settings, select the analytics metric you want to add
  4. Set your date range or filter details if needed
