Scheduled Changes for Shopify, a Simpler Sync Control, and Faster First Downloads
On this page
This release lets you choose when your edits reach Shopify. Schedule a price change, a launch, or a whole sale for a set time, and have it end on its own. Alongside it, the sync control at the top right is simpler, and new stores see their first worksheets fill in sooner. Here’s what’s new from late October 2026.
Scheduling changes needs Mixtable Spreadsheet Editor, the same as syncing. The faster first download applies to Mixtable Spreadsheet Editor and Mixtable Export: Excel & CSV.
Schedule changes for a set time
Shopify can’t change a product’s price on a future date, so a midnight sale usually means staying up to click a button. Now you can edit the cells as usual, click Schedule sync instead of Sync now, and pick when the changes go to Shopify.
- Choose which changes to schedule. The Schedule changes window lists every unsynced change in the worksheet. Untick the ones you want to keep for later, or use By field to pick every price change at once
- Pick a time in your store’s time zone. Mixtable makes the changes at that time whether or not anyone has the spreadsheet open
- End a sale on its own. Tick Also schedule a return to the original values, pick an end time, and every cell goes back to what’s in Shopify now, or to a value you type
- Schedule any field you can sync. Prices, compare-at prices, market and B2B fixed prices, stock, status, publishing, tags, collections, templates, metafields, translations, and more
The scheduled cells show a small clock mark, and a green Scheduled changes button opens the list for the whole spreadsheet. From there you can run a change now, change its time, put its values back into the worksheet to edit them, or delete it. After a change runs, the list shows how many changes were made and any sync errors. If a change couldn’t run, for example because the store’s plan had ended, the list says why and offers Run now.

A simpler sync control
The sync control at the top right of the spreadsheet now names your waiting edits once, for example 12 unsynced changes, then offers two ways to send them:
- Sync now opens the Preview changes window, where you review your edits and send them to Shopify
- Schedule sync opens the Schedule changes window, so the edits go to Shopify at a time you pick
The rest of the control shows up only when it’s needed: Apply 3 updates when changes from Shopify are waiting while you work, Scheduled changes while a worksheet has changes scheduled, and a download button on worksheets whose data Shopify doesn’t send on its own. That button now names what it downloads, for example Download latest blog posts from Shopify, and one click starts the download.

First worksheets fill in sooner
When you install Mixtable Spreadsheet Editor or Mixtable Export: Excel & CSV, Mixtable now downloads your store in steps, starting with what most people open first: your last month of orders and your products, variants, stock, and images. Metafields come next, then collections, sales channels, market prices, and translations. Older orders download when a worksheet needs them, for example when you create an Orders worksheet that starts further back.
While a step is still running, the download panel above the grid tells you which columns are still filling in, for example “This sheet’s metafield and collection columns fill in when their download finishes.”
Shorter Orders templates
The Orders and Line Items templates now start with the columns most stores use, matching what Shopify’s own order export includes. Any field that’s no longer in the template is still a click away: click + Shopify data in an empty column’s header to add it.
